11/28/2007 --
Strike employees designed and built the Industry’s first totally Mobile Rugged
Video Visitation System for the Combined Joint Task Force 82 (CJTF-82) in
support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
This ruggedized system is the first of its kind deployed in a war zone. The system will allow Afghanistan families and friends to visit via video with their friends and relatives that are incarcerated at the Bagram AFB detention center without having to make the dangerous trip between Kabul and Bagram AFB. Strike's custom designed mobile video visitation system includes a monitoring station that will allow CJTF-82 personnel to monitor all visitation sessions, seeing and hearing both inmate and visitor. The system design also includes a digital video recording subsystem that is capable of recording all video visitation session simultaneously, with audio and video from both inmate and visitor, in full motion with digital storage up to 45 days. The recording subsystem includes the capability to download and burn evidence CDs as needed. Strike provided a turnkey video visitation solution for CJTF-82 and is providing ongoing service and support for the system during its deployment in Afghanistan. The system can easily be packed up and moved to another location with the only prerequisite being an Ethernet connection be installed between the two points of service.
